Your shoulder workout matters too
Another overlooked muscle group is shoulders. Just like arms, women tend to think working their shoulders will add mass instead of toning. And again, this is a common misconception. I live for my shoulder workout, I find my upper body looks balanced and halters look much better on me. I’m specifically buying a halter top wedding dress so I can show off my arms, back, and shoulders, and why not, I work hard for that definition.
The thing to remember with shoulders, just like back day, is that you can easily overdo it. Lateral raises, forget starting higher than 10lbs. I’ve been working my shoulders for years and I’m still at 15lbs dumbbells. Always listen to your body and never try to lift more than you’re comfortable with just because you think the people around you are judging you based on the weight you can lift. If that were the case, only 3 people at my gym would ever have a good workout.
